I suggest people of by and for Truth pray about suing their government in federal court over Constitutional issues. How else can we win back the country from the liberals?
I have an issue where an Oregon law violates the 13th amendment (anti-slavery) by forcing landlords to pay (money represents work) for delinquent tenant's municipal utility bills. I've asked my city Clatskanie to help in exchange for not being named as a defendant. We'll see what happens.

Maybe a legal services organization should be a sub-group of the truth movement! American Truth Union? The city responded to my request, as follows: Kirk – I discussed this matter with the Council last night. They respectfully decline your request. Greg HinkelmanCity ManagerClatskanie, Ore.Office (503) 728-2622Fax (503) 728-3297 The original request: While it is abundantly clear the Clatskanie City Council is wrong on the issue of Landlord Slavery which violates the 13th Amendment, the state of Oregon also violates the amendment by its "revised" statute coddling municipalities which have such ordinances. Representative Brad Witt has been equally uncooperative in refusing to submit a bill to correct the state's error. Therefore it appears to me the only recourse left is to file a federal lawsuit to make the state comply with the Constitution on this issue, which will eventually bring the city into upholding the constitution. I propose the City and its attorney offer me pro-bono assistance to pursue this matter in exchange for keeping the City off the defendant's list if possible and for the publicity benefit that will accrue from becoming a supporter of the Constitution. Although a short response time on plea bargains is shown on TV, I am willing to wait one month for your response. -- Kirk W. Sorry, this approach isn't working so far. No lawyer I've contacted wants to even try to take the case. Including the ACLU. The only legitimate response was from ACLJ but landlord slavery is unfortunately not a directly Christian issue. Ok well.
