A Seventh Day Adventist wrote saying: Christ's words, You don't know the day or hour, are poorly translated. The Greek word, eido, means to be aware, consider, understand. Christ was saying, You don't understand, and each time He said it, He gave an example that fit a provision in their law for Passover a month later, "as in the days of Noah" when destruction had Passover timing, but in the 2nd spring month, Gen 7:4,11. I don't know Greek enough to confirm or deny this. Anyone? If it's not a locked prophecy as we were led to believe, it would be interesting - maybe the whole thing can be figured out accurately. One fellow several years ago pointed out convincing evidence that the hour would be midnight. Of course is that Jerusalem time? Unfortunately I don't remember his reasons. I hate to do too much guessing without a confirming inspiration. But if we take the guessing with prophecy thread where the year is guessed and this thread where the day and hour are guessed, we certainly should be praying at those times! Not doing stupid stuff like so many have done before under false predictions, but simply praying is good to do always.

Correct me if im wrong but, SDA came about in the 1800's andchad problems with the mainstream. Ive reviewed much of there doctrine, some of it is appealing but much is clearly false. Im in the process of studying a few different languages. Im looking to come across a definitive to stoo all this false hearsay.

Every reader should first believe this definitive proof against all denominations: truthstorm.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=christianity&action=display&thread=9As such, all denominations are full of falsehood, some original lies, some hearsay lies. Heresay is not a problem if the person you hear from is God. Of the millions of man-hours spent in Bible study each week, it is possible for some people to stumble upon, or be given in answer to prayer, truth unknown to the majority of believers. I don't want to dismiss potentially important truth just because the denomination the discoverer is in is false, for they all are false. Yet some true believers may still be in them, disobeying Rev. 18:4 by remaining. It is possible the day link to the Passover is false or it could be true, I don't know. I presented it as an item of potential truth to study (like the Bereans) to discover if these things were so.
