Jesus spoke of persecution for those who announce His Truth! History such as written in Miller's Church History shows many believers have been killed for their faith. Even more recent news reports show killings of Christians by Muslims. But there is also persecution that results in smaller loss such as friends, family, and jobs.
Today I was unfriended on Facebook by a guy I had interacted with for years on a church forum. And this was after a very nice conversation which I will try to post here. My guess as to why is informed by seeing a video clip of a couple where the wife hated her husband doing all kinds of things against him until he got far enough into Christ to cast her demon out then she now loves him. So I think in my situation the guy with a liberal attitude toward denominations has a demon that rejects God's truth. Let's pray you dear reader are free of demons. Here are the posts:

It is our commission by Jesus to go out into the world being tame as doves yet wise as serpents. Truth is beautiful when it comes from a mouth of mercy vs.a mouth of destruction.
Kirk Fraser The purpose of going out into the world is to build Jesus' Kingdom. The kingdom of Pauline religions is disobedient to the vision which came down from heaven in Jesus' blood recorded in the Gospels.

Kirk Fraser In Matthew 23, Jesus said essentially we are equals under Him, without positions one over another. Elders are specifically prevented by Mat. 23:8 since Jewish Rabbi's exactly equal Elders. In disobedience, Paul set up elders and taught men to do so, earning Paul the judgment of Mat. 5:19. Paul multiplied his error creating additional positions like deacon, bishop, and made many spiritual functions like teaching into positions, creating a hierarchy in which the equality of believers is compartmentalized, reducing the full function of Jesus' believers. Paul also disobeyed on money, making it a duty to donate in his epistle to the Romans who would become Catholic, making Paul the father of the great Rev. 17:5 prostitute and her many daughters, which are frauds calling themselves churches.
Kirk Fraser The true church which Jesus gave the .example of is superior. He taught 12 students intensely in Spirit and Word for 3 years then graduated them sending them out in answer to prayer to the Lord of the Harvest to send out workers into the Harvest. Had they done the same thing, multiplying 12x12 every 3.5 years they would have covered the earth long ago, as we can today in about 10 cycles or 35 years. Then as the world is converted, those God leads would help churches overcome the 7 problems in Rev. 2-3 so they can progress in spiritual growth to full overcomers, sitting with Jesus on His throne in Rev. 3:21 spiritually as they prepare for the physical reality of ascension of the manchild or new man in Rev. 12:5. Then after they take care to fulfill the prophecies of the end times, eventually they work to build the New Jerusalem from all the dead believers which will come down from heaven at the end of Revelation.
Kirk Fraser There is evidence people around the world who obey Jesus are going in His direction complete with miracles such as raising corpses from death in the book Megashift. Those who are going in Paul's direction don't want to lose their system of hiearchy which gives them and their heirs money and its power, preferring it to God's power of answering prayer by miracles. So the true church is not popular as it should be yet. And of course many who are offended by God's truth attack its messengers on personality, unfriending, and other ways instead of loving the good news enough to tell it to everyone.
